A Quick Guide For Traveling Safely

These have been uncertain times, to be sure. In the last year, we have gone from lockdowns to tentatively making our way back into the world. Though it is not completely normal these days, we are able to venture out of lockdown and spend our days with a little more freedom. It has been an exciting summer with many countries opening up to non-essential travel. More and more, we are able to take trips and enjoy a good old-fashioned vacation again!

As you make your travel plans, there are a few things to keep in mind:

The US has been added to the “safe list” of some countries, including even unvaccinated visitors who can provide proof of a negative coronavirus test. However, be ready for these countries to change their policies quickly, as new information comes out every day from case counts to infection rates. Here is a list of countries by risk level as you plan your trip.

If you are planning to travel internationally, please plan a little farther ahead than you normally would. Wait times for passports are taking 3-6 months to process, and there are higher possibilities of flight changes and delays. Many countries are now requiring a vaccination to enter. Keep an eye on the destination you choose and stay up to date on their current travel policies, as they are subject to change at any time leading up to your travel date. If you have been vaccinated, be sure to carry your Covid-19 vaccine card with you as some tours and sites require them. Also carry your mask with you at all times – just in case.

Finally, be sure to have fun! The travel industry is working diligently to make sure you stay healthy during your trip. Hotels, restaurants, airlines, you name it, all have policies in place to keep you as safe as possible on your vacation. If you’re ready to venture out, go out there and enjoy your next adventure!
